Mount Parnassus

The brainchild of baroque bassoonist, educator, and international leader Catalina Guevara Klein, now a Calgary resident, the Mount Parnassus Foundation seeks to empower musicians in Historical Performance presenting music from the medieval, renaissance, baroque, classical and romantic style periods. The Foundation promotes and supports artistic, social, and educational activities, dedicated to the performance of early music on period instruments through chamber music recitals, educational performances, the Pass Early Music Festival, and a scholarship fund. The goal of this community-oriented early music festival is to blend musical benefits to the Southern Alberta communities and fuel the economy of the area with the festival’s events.
