Sinister Sports

For nearly 20 years Sinister Sports has hosted world-class endurance events throughout Alberta and British Columbia. Their promise is that they will always challenge you and offer the best-organized events for their athletes. They have 3 ultra-marathons – Sinister 7 Ultra, a race that may be the greatest challenge of your life. 100 mile (161km) course with 6,400m of elevation gain across the course, this race will punish those who are not prepared. – The Black Spur Ultra (54km & 108 km), no pavement, big climbs through rugged terrain, and stunning scenery. In its first year many racers dubbed Black Spur an “instant classic”. – The Canadian Death Race in Grande Cache, AB. The 125km course begins and ends on a 4200-foot plateau, passes over three mountain summits, and not only includes over 17,000 feet of elevation change but a major river crossing at the spectacular Hell’s Gate canyon at the confluence of the Smoky and Sulphur Rivers. Each year, extreme athletes push themselves to the limits of their endurance against the breathtaking background of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
